BOTOX® as Anti-Wrinkle Treatment at All About Family Dental in Calgary

At All About Family Dental we use BOTOX® Cosmetic: medicine that is injected into muscles and used to temporarily improve the look of moderate to severe forehead lines, crow’s feet lines, and frown lines between the eyebrows in adults.

About BOTOX® Procedure:

BOTOX® is made from a neurotoxin called botulinum toxin that is produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. BOTOX® targets one of the underlying causes of frown lines and crow’s feet – the repeated muscle contractions from frowning and squinting over the years. At All About Family Dental, Dr. Smadych will inject these muscles with BOTOX® Cosmetic to temporarily reduce muscle activity. You will begin to notice a visible smoothing of your crow’s feet lines and frown lines between your brows in about 24-72 hours and in some cases 5 days. The results last about 4 months.

The treatment usually takes about 10-15 minutes to complete. If you need to be topically frozen beforehand please allow extra time for this procedure.

Dr. Smadych at All About Family Dental has taken all required courses through The Pacific Training Institute for Facial Aesthetics in order to safely perform BOTOX® injections.
